Prep and Usage: Recipe - Serves 4 Cooking time - simmer for 2 minutes Makes 300ml (approx 1/2 pint) 1 sachet Colman's White Sauce Mix 300ml (1/2 pint) semi skimmed milk Makes the perfect accompaniment to fish, meat or pasta. Empty the contents of the sachet into a saucepan. Pour a little milk into the pan and mix. Stir in the remaining milk and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Simmer for 2 minutes. Why not try: Lasagne. Make your favourite meat sauce, and layer meat sauce and pre-cook lasagne sheets in an ovenproof dish. Make up sachet of White sauce as directed and pour over lasagne. Sprinkle 50g grated cheddar cheese over the top and bake at 190°C / 170°C fan / Gas mark 5, for 40-45 mins until golden and bubbling. Serve with garlic bread and salad.
